A Day of Eats in Lansing, MI

During my time spent downstate at school, I have progressively explored my native state’s capitol. I’ve put together a “day’s worth of eating” guide for all my fellow foodies out there. Hope you enjoy!

Breakfast:

 Strange Matter Coffee Co.

Frequently adorned with hipsters typing away on their laptops, and warm welcoming baristas, this little gem is where you need to head to for breakfast. I love the Cinnamon Honey Latte but the Nola Iced Coffee is another crowd pleaser. If you’re looking to snag a table get there earlier on the weekends as its quite small and quite popular!

Lunch:

       Glazed and Confused Bakery

Now I know what you’re probably thinking, ‘Donuts for Lunch Morgan??’ Yes, donuts for lunch. This bakery is as cute as the name implies and has more to offer than just donuts. Grab an avocado grilled cheese and an almond joy donut and sit yourself by a window for some people watching on Washington Square St.

Dinner:

            Meat B.B.Q

WARNING: if you are not a meat eater, this place is not for you! As you have probably guessed by the name this place is all about their meat. Famous for their ‘meatwiches’ this place is a B.B.Q lover’s dream come true. I took my family there on one of their visits down here and my sister and I could barely finish the nachos! Which were heavenly if I do say so myself. Perhaps the best part about this place is their array of house sauces-try them all if you so please!
