Top 5 Things I Ate While in Europe

In no particular order, here we go!

German Schnitzel

  1. schnitzel

My first lunch in Amsterdam set a high bar when it came to what I ate for the rest of my trip, to say the least. Schnitzel is a German dish that is made traditionally of pork, which is breaded, fried, and in my case served with frites and a small salad. My pork was probably some of the best I’ve ever ate-juicy and fried to perfection!

Ladurée Macaroon

Pistachio, Pistachio, Pistachio. Natalie this one is for you. I tried a handful of macaroon flavors while in Paris but this pistachio flavored one from Ladurée took the cake!

Angelina Chocolat Chaud

I just couldn’t leave this one off the list. Angelina is known for their traditional African Chocolat Chaud and it is nothing short of amazing. Served with your own cup of fresh whipped cream, and a mouth-watering pastry if you so dare, this hot chocolat was pretty much my heaven on earth! If liquid chocolat sounds at all appealing to you (I don’t know why it wouldn’t) Angelina is a must stop while in Paris. Ok I’ll shut up nowJ.

Chili Con Carne Chowder

The weather got a bit chilly while I was in Leuven and this chowder was exactly what I needed after a day of exploring. It is very similar to chili, and I of course had to pair it with a Stella since I was in Leuven! This chowder was so good that we came back to the same restaurant the next night for more delicious food.

Belgian Waffle

This one speaks for itself, I mean look at the picture.

Over to you, what are your favorite eats in Europe?
